So I’ll do it here anonymously.
My daughter is a great kid, and a good student. Absolutely positively not top college material, and we are all ok with that - she will be fine wherever she goes. Not a great test taker - eh scores on her PSAT and ACT. But today she found out she got a 5 on her AP language and comp exam! This really just made my heart sing. She is over the moon. I’m so proud! |
| Congrats to her! |
| Fantastic news! So happy for her! |
| Yay! So proud for you! |
| Amazing!! Congrats to her! |
| Hooray!! |

WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!
It's so awesome when we see our kids thrive! |

Good for her.
I would suggest that you (and her) keep in mind that kids and young adults progress at differing rates and times, and that often progress occurs when kids are older - out of high school. |
| Yeah! Well done, OP's kid. If she wants to do the AP Lit next year, bear in mind it requires entirely different skills, and the questions are more open-ended. DS had a 5 in AP Lang, but didn't feel secure enough in his Lit class to attempt the AP exam for it. |
| Great! |
| Congratulations OP. That's awesome. |
| Nicely done! Please celebrate her accomplishment with a special dinner (at home is fine). |
| That’s awesome! |

I don't remember the two AP English classes/tests being substantially different. Just nonfiction vs fiction.
