| For OLD, how would describe yourself as slim, athletic, or average as a woman or a man? Any examples in pictures of a woman who is slim? One who is athletic? One who is average? |
|
I see slim as thin (ish) but not lots of muscle, person is not heavily into working out. Healthy bmi but not necessarily fit.
Athletic to me means in good shape, healthy bmi + muscle tone. Values fitness and an active lifestyle. Exercises very regularly. Average is literally anything. Plenty of slim people will categorize themselves as average as will plenty of overweight people. |
| Slim makes me think thin but not toned. Athletic means anything from toned to ripped. Average = dad bod. |
|
Athletic for a woman makes me think she's actually overweight. And men told me the same (that's what fat women put to attract more visitors). So always put thin if a woman
For a man athletic is probably better |
| Always thought average is code for fat |
| Can’t you just google photos? |
Think that would be curvy. |
Well, since the average woman is overweight - it’s not a difficult code to crack. |
|
Just post decent photos of yourself that show your full figure.
For women it is very common to see athletic, average and curvy as synonyms for fat. For men, I know Dad Bod now means fat, but it was originally meant to represent someone like this: https://imgur.com/SfwqxhI |
| It’s been a long time since I was OLD but I used to put average until most of my dates mentioned being surprised that i was so small (5.2” around 115-120) . I didn’t consider myself “thin” but I suppose average now is heavier so I ultimately went with athletic even though really I just did yoga and cycling a few days a week. Better thing is to have recent full length photos in shorts and a tank or a dress…. |
| I have a bmi of 22 in the middle of the healthy range. I used to put in average but maybe that was a mistake? |
|
OP here. I have a large chest for my petite frame size, from a 34C to a 32D. I don't consider myself slim, but I weigh around 125 pounds. I am under 5'4". I am not overweight or obese. I am not athletic although I workout everyday.
To me slim is Kate Hudson, or any woman who can wear clothes like a halter top with no worries about a bra. Athletic is like the woman who swam from Florida to Cuba by herself or Serena Williams. Average is anywhere from a size 4 to a size 12. I wear anywhere from a size 4, 6, or 8 depending on the clothes, and I tend to not enjoy too tight clothes. |
I would say, Paulina Porizkova is slim. There’s another thread in here where she poses topless. While still in her 50s, I would hardly call her old, but she is slim and definitely older. (in my opinion she looks fabulous, regardless of what she thinks of herself.) I would say, Madonnas physique is athletic. Of course she’s Madonna and she’s fighting age by working out, and it’s also part of her career to look athletic. Maybe Drew Barrymore would be average? I will try and find photos and then post them if I can. |
| I dunno. I just put my height and weight. There are pictures so they can see what that translates to in terms of muscles and chest, etc. |
|
There's no where to put weight, just height. The choices for body type are slim, athletic, average, a few extra pounds, large, or not specified.
I'm mid 50s, looking for a man late 40s to early 60s. I would sincerely hope that those men would not limit their searches to women who are "slim" or "athletic," because how many women in that age range are truly slim or athletic? Maybe JLo is athletic. And I don't have a figure like JLo. I never have. I don't have muscular legs and glutes. Is Jennifer Aniston considered athletic or average? I wouldn't consider either one of those women to be slim. Some older men over the age of 50 might even consider women with JLo's figure to be "a few extra pounds" in clothing. |
