| I kept my kid at home yesterday, and he had screentime full day while I had to work WFH. Is today's weather better to send him to outdoor day camp? The camp location is in Frederick. |
| Frederick, MD |
| Unless he has asthma, it should be fine. You think a full day of screen time is better? |
| Still code red but borderline orange |
| Forecast to be code orange. All kids are advised to reduce outdoor time under code orange so I might keep him home but it’s not as bad as yesterday |
| I would do it but I have a heart like a truck |
I just looked on my weather app on my phone for Frederick, MD. The air quality reading at 6am is 173 “the same as it was this time yesterday.” So, no, the air quality is NOT better today. |
Sorry I think my data was wrong |
What app/website are you on that read at 173 in Frederick, MD? I see some website says it is code orange now. |
The one on my iPhone that’s part of the operating system. |
| In Takoma Park it says 142, unhealthy for sensitive groups. |
| Seems worse today |
|
Either way, on days he’s home you need to look at other activities he can do other than screens all day just because you’re working.
Google ideas, or look on Pinterest. |
I thought it is supposed to be better today. And, when air quality is poor, does that matter if you are surrounded by many trees or open lot or lower/higher mountain location? Walking or exercising? |
+1. Mine says the same. It says “unhealthy”. Keep kid home. |
