| I registered my son for summer school a while back. However, I don’t see the course in Parentvue and I’ve received no confirmation that he was placed into the class. Do I just assume he is enrolled? Has anybody received confirmation? |

I didn't get an official confirmation of enrollment, but about a week after we registered the counselor emailed to confirm that they were approving the class registration. |

Did the email confirm course placement and time? I only received an email saying the HS counselor approved the course not that he was officially enrolled. I had the impression that demand can exceed seats and not everyone gets the class they request. |

We got an email from the teacher on Friday. Sent to both parent and kid emails. |

We got a welcome letter as well. It said that the class should show up in myMCPS Classroom, but that Classroom might not be available until the first day of class. |

| I got an email on May 5 from Central Summer School stating my son's counselor had approved the course, but his is the 2nd session. I haven't had anything since then, and parentvue and studentvue were inaccessible for a few days last week. |

OP. Still nothing here. Very frustrating. I’m crossing my fingers we hear something by tonight.
Also, I’m wondering if anybody noticed the central summer school page says synchronous days are MWF but where the dates are listed the final day for synchronous learning is Tuesday July 18 with no class listed for Monday July 17. I wonder if this is a typo. |

I think the dates are correct. Disregard the MWF. The first session ends July 18 and the second session begkns July 20. |

| We haven't received confirmation or login information for either of the two central summer school classes my child enrolled in for the first term of summer school. I sent a note to the central summer school email address asking if they could at least confirm she was enrolled and I received a response last Thursday saying I should "reach back out if you do not hear anything prior to the start of the first session". |

Is this normally how they operate because it all seems very last minute and unnecessarily stressful? I‘m crossing my fingers my son is actually enrolled in the class time he wanted because we put in a change request a month ago and built his summer schedule around it (work, appointments, drivers education, sports, etc). It’s going to be a mess if we learn that all has to be rescheduled. On top of it, he has an IEP and wanted to make contact with the teacher about accommodations ahead of the first day but that now seems unlikely. |

| OP here with an update. We just got an email. It looks like it arrived in my inbox while I was posting above. I guess I worried for nothing but I do appreciate all those who chimed in. Good luck to everyone else who is waiting for confirmation. |

| We haven't received anything yet. Is the school sending the information to parents personal email or posted on Parentvue? My child is a rising 9th grader and has no Studentvue/Canvas account access. We have not even been given password to link school email to Gmail account. New to MCPS and they are not making it easy. Seem like they could do a better job of orienting parents and students to all these. Frustrating to say the least. |
