Heading into egg transfer

Anonymous
Just finished our egg retrieval a week or so ago, and now gearing up for the transfer protocol. We have three embryos, all chromosomally normal but only rated 4BB. I’m so nervous that none of this will work. Any advice on what I should be doing to prepare/anything you wish you had done or known?

We just went through a fresh embryo transfer and first, congrats on getting to this! It’s a big deal to get this far and you’re doing great. I felt the same way. I just expected another setback but we are now six weeks along with our little one. I can’t say for sure what helped but I was really kind to myself and tried to find the joy in each day. I took two days off and just took it easy. We did daily walks but no other exercise or lifting. I worked really hard just to not let the little stuff get to me and just tried to stay calm. I drank tons of water and while I didn’t have a perfect diet, I cut out caffeine, artificial sweeteners (as much as possible), and tried to have at least a serving or two of fruits and veggies a day. I had done a bit of acupuncture before (but not a ton) and really tried to keep my feet warm. I didn’t do a ton of research but there are some thoughts that a warm body and warm extremities help. It definitely doesn’t hurt. Hope this helps and good luck!

I eliminated caffeine during that phase. And day of FET transfer I just came home, relaxed, and watched things I knew would make me laugh out loud! I only had 2 embryos, and for me second transfer with the last embryo worked out. Good luck!
