Watching Richard Fish in court and hearing his Fishisms now that I’m older is so amusing!
I was in law school when the show originally aired. It’s interesting to see the show from a generation+ ago addressing issues like gay, trans, race, sex, religion, etc. Very interesting. |
Do the eating disorders stand out? All I can remember is how thin all the actresses were! |
Jane Krakowski isn’t thin. |
I think the first season was filmed before Spanx were around because you see natural rolls in season 1 when Jane and others wear certain clothing. |
This is so funny b/c I was thinking of doing the same. I was also in law school when it aired. I was wondering how it has aged. I loved it so much at the time. |
But Ally McBeal is. I couldn't watch because i didn't want my teenage daughters thinking that was normal |
I tried and most of it is cringey. |
Ally mcBeal and Portia de Rossi’s character are painfully thin |
Psst: being thin doesn't equate to having an eating disorder. ![]() |
So... overweight is "normal," but underweight is abnormal. Got it. |
You might not know that both actresses talked about their eating disorders publicly. |
I know Portia did. Calista as well? |
You are absurd if you think some people don't have small frames. |
I started rewatching a few years ago. Didn't age well, very cringe |
Yes. And Courtney Thorne-Smith. https://www.celebrities-with-diseases.com/celebrities/calista-flockheart-admits-to-bout-with-anorexia-2583.html |
