This would be our first Caribbean trip. |
Yes! You will be spoiled and never want or need to go to any other islands. Our favorite! |
Yep! What’s not to love? |
No. Nothing charming about it. It’s a hotel culture island. |
Yes! Amazing ocean water. Great restaurants. |
My favorite among all the Carribean islands we have been to.
Water and beach is gorgeous! |
Yes - I like almost everything ![]() |
It’s great for a relaxing beach vacation. |
It’s over rated. You can do much better. SCUBA was a long boat ride. Town lacks charm as pp said. Go to a Cay for remoteness. |
+1, but you can’t beat it for a first trip to the Carribbean. Easy access to grocery/restaurants. Nice places to stay. And the non stop from Dulles. Try it out OP, and see if the island is for you. When we visited in 2021 we ran into a number of Americans buying condos there. |
Turks and Caicos was always on my list of places I want to go, but a former coworker went and said they did not enjoy it; it wasn't that nice other than at the resort. So basically sounds like most of the other Caribbean locations, versus being something uniquely beautiful and unspoiled. |
I’ve been twice, and it’s so beautiful! The water is almost crystal clear.
IMO, it’s the most beautiful of Caribbean islands I’ve been to. |
We loved it but we stayed in a private 1,700/night resort away from the main resort area, which was a huge stretch for us but worth it. Loved the easy access to snorkeling, calm beaches, water sports in the calm waters, and friendly people. Food was also good where we were. Very expensive island. Might go back again in a few years but since it's so close and easy to get to we'd probably go 2-3 nights and not leave the resort. |
Years ago I loved it more. The hotels are so built up now. You will love the beach but honestly it's just beach there. If you wanted to see or experience anything you gotta pick another island. There are other beaches that are beautiful as well - I personally think TC is really over rated. Unless you are dropping a ton of cash you can find that relaxation in Barbados, Antigua and PR. Even St Lucia where Sugar Beach is. Personally I would go to Costa Rica where it's cheaper and more to see and do. |
Op, if you already put money down, go and have fun. If you haven’t put money down, go elsewhere. |
