Disney World resorts with 2 queen beds + 1 daybed

Anonymous
Trying to plan a trip to Disney World for myself, my ex and our 2 kids. We would need a room with 2 queen beds and 1 daybed or similar (not a child-sized sleeper) - essentially something that can accommodate 5 adults. I understand as a family of 4 we could request that layout but it wouldn't be guaranteed. If I book the resort as though there will be 5 of us but only 4 of us show up to check in, will that be a problem? Has anyone done something similar? My ex and I can manage this trip with our kids but ONLY if the room layout works! Really don't want to leave that part up to chance. Thoughts? Thanks!

The Hilton LBV has adjoining rooms, is walkable to Disney Springs, and has a park shuttle. I would do that.

We had that at the Caribbean there. It worked well as my kids don’t like sharing a bed. And it’s near the gondola which made getting around easy.

We had that in our standard room at the Polynesian, worked because our teen prefers to not share a bed so he slept on the daybed.

Just checked and the fifth bed is child-sized. How old are the kids?

OP here - for folks that had those layouts as a family of 4, were you able to reserve rooms that way? Or was it only a request? I keep seeing that it's an option but not a guarantee if I search as a family of 4. I'm trying to see if I book it as though there will be 5 of us (to ensure we get that layout) but only 4 of us show up to check in, if it will be a problem.

The Hilton LBV definitely looks like a more affordable option - thanks for that suggestion! Is it worth the tradeoff of not being immersed in Disney theming?

For the true daybed size (not the "child size" pull down in Port Orleans Riverside or Caribbean Beach) it will just be a request. There's no way for anyone (even Disney employees on the phone) to tell you how likely you are to get that request.
Is there a reason why you can't book two rooms (of course, connecting rooms are also just a request, not guaranteed?)

How old/big are your kids? Last year we stayed in a 1 bedroom at Saratoga Springs resort, and there is one of the "child size" pull down beds in the living room. My (then) high school senior boy slept on it with no problem. I think he was about 5'10" and pretty "stocky."

pp above here- I was just looking around online and apparently the size of those pull down beds really varies. Like I said, my teen son had no problem on the pull out bed (the one under the TV) at Saratoga Springs, but reading here, it looks like the Caribean beach one is much smaller.

Look at the deluxe villas category. If you want guaranteed space, shell out the big bucks for a two bedroom villa or bungalow. They’re at several resorts.

OP here- I'm really trying not to break the bank on this trip! 🙃

Five people with one bathroom. Come on op. Don’t be cheap. Get two rooms.

It would actually be 4 of us. Really not a problem.

It's only 4 people. Not sure why OP is talking about 5 or needing a room for 5 but there are clearly only 4 people.

NP. Presumably because a room with 2 queens and a daybed would be listed as a 5 person room.
