ProLon fast

Has anyone tried this? How bad was it?

I did. It wasn’t horrible. But I don’t think fasting is good for women, it jacks up your cortisol and screws up your hormones. Would not do it again. The benefits of fasting are entirely based on studies with men.

Oh crap really? I had no idea. I'm going to try it once as a reset to cut out all of the bad crap I am eating but good to know!

I’ve done the DYI a couple times. Not bad. The first time religiously, and with no caffeine was a struggle. I now allow myself one cup of black coffee for the sale of myself and everyone around me.

I did it but ended up having to eat something each evening because I got headaches. So I wasn't that strict. Still, it does make you reevaluate what you're eating normally.

I have done it a few times, but I diy it--fresh vegetables, avocados, nuts, and soups, using cronometer to calculate macros. this is key, since its not just calorie restriction, its very low protein and a very specific ratio of fats/carbs/protein and calories per pound of body weight (so I was around 500-550 calories/day). I did a cup of real coffee as well.

It was fine, but not earth shattering. I dont have high blood sugar or things like that to address, but I was hoping it might help my digestion which it seemed to do, somewhat. I lost a few lbs on it, maybe after regain, 1.5 lbs, all from my stomach, so that was nice (i'm petite but other folks usually lose more).
