My son is graduating from elementary school next week. I hear of graduation parties for high school and college.
What is typical for an elementary graduation? None of his friends seem to have anything special planned. |

We let the kid finishing elementary school pick what was for dinner. |
We did lunch after graduation with a couple of other families at Pizza Paradiso because it was easy and nearby. |
My kid has a half day on the last day of 5th. We’ll go out for lunch somewhere. |
This, plus a small present. |
We just did the school events (a dance/party and a moving up ceremony). She got to pick out a fancy dress for the dance.
When I finished elementary school way back in the 80s, one of my class mates had a party at his house for the whole grade (only about 40 kids) and we all hung out outside and drank juice boxes and ate chips and were awkward together for 2 hours. |
Ice cream with the family. |
We're having an ice cream party with just us and our kid and then we're heading to the pool. All the kids will be at the neighborhood pool. |

We let the kid pick dinner.
One classmate had a huge party that 2/3 of the grade was invited to (we didn’t make the cut for that). |

Please do not have a party for finishing elem school. We went to lunch with a few other families after the ceremony |
This is way too late to plan anything. You should have planned back in March/April. Balloon arches sold out, caterers booked. You'll be lucky to find a 3 tier cake at this point. |
Your kid is not graduating. He’s moving on o the next grade. No party. That’s ridiculous |
