Good for her.

At least a few republicans are still ethical.

And she was booed by many in the crowd, some turning their chairs around. Liberals just are not tolerant of having Republicans as speakers on campus.

I heard that was College Republicans/TPUSA.

This sounds way more plausible.

Exactly. Democrats aren’t going to turn their back on her. The Republicans did, even in her district. They are a disgrace. Good for Ms. Cheney. I hope she returns to politics. I say this as a yellow dog democrat.

She's a die-hard conservative. She'll never be a Democrat. If you learned anything about her, it's that she doesn't compromise her core beliefs and values for political expediency.

There was a time when the parties had more of a mix of liberal and conservative views. The state of the parties now is sad.

What many on this site don't seem to understand is that things are changing politically. It's not R vs D so much anymore- it's establishment vs populist now. Establishment R and D have more in common than populist R and D.

Nope. It was liberals who don't like that she is anti-abortion. I don't like that either but I respect that she is pro-US and anti-insurrection. She doomed her political career by doing the right thing - that's admirable.

How do you know they weren't MAGAs?

There was a time when endorsement of lies was not a requirement for membership.
