How to encourage 10 year old wears cami or soft sport bra? She has breast buds but refused to wear said her 12 year old friend doesn’t wear one neither.

My 13 year old is at that stage (late bloomer). Her friends all wear sports bras. She doesn't, because she claims she's too warm - and indeed, she overheats and faints easily.

I'm letting it go for now, since no one has said anything to her, and she'd bite their heads off if they did.

It’s ok. She will wear it when ready, or not. It should make her more comfortable, but some girls and women are foregoing bras. My 10 year old dd is more likely to wear cute camis under shirts than sports bras.

She's 10. There is no need, unless you have adult men leering at her. And then you have bigger problems than her wearing a bra.

She will probably have to wear a bra for the rest of her life, so she might as well continue to have some freedom for a year or two more OP.

This! I know plenty of small-breasted adult women who eschew bras, and I doubt your daughter is even an A cup.

Oh please, PPs. OP, my 10 yo was the same. Insisted none of her friends were wearing bras and that it was “weird.” Well then she went to a slumber party and discovered she was the only one who wasn’t… and has worn a bra without complaint since. She really likes the athleta bras.

It’s fine. So what? No sheer white shirts and let her carry on however she is comfortable. She will tell you when she wants to wear a bra. Breast buds don’t NEED a bra
