You guys give bad advice

So my last day was yesterday and based on the “advice” in this forum I did not include my cool meme. I was thinking maybe Office Space Meme.

Instead wrote a nice professional last day note. Thanking everyone blah blah blah.

I got 27 -30 emojis and a few memes as the response from coworkers. No one wrote a written response.

Now I look like an old outdated dinosaur 🦕 with pleated pants and a double breasted suit!

Cool story

Yes, everyone should realize that. People here don’t know more than the few sentences typed and have their own perspectives.

I got terrible advice here the first time I posted and I’m so glad I ignored it. You cannot take this place seriously.

Yeah dont get advice from this place, lol. If only I could regale you with the long line of horrific advise I've gotten from people on DCUM. It's mostly disgruntled/rageful boomers and disaffected, out of it Xers who are zero in touch with the modern world. Use it to source opinions but realize 95% of the people here are pathologically crazy and that's why theyre on here 24/7

Bussin, no cap

It's bad advice, but you can't beat out price!

If you measure your success with the amount of moron feedback you get, I don't know what to tell you, OP. Just rock on in your alternate universe!

I will be the dissenting opinion and say that I have received enormously helpful advice here. The thread I started had lots of dissenting opinions and I consider it a buyer-beware situation. THANK YOU from someone who has never had any mentors in corporate and no family members

You get what you pay for, OP!

People here talk like - Let me email my secretary to fax you the document and I will see if I can pencil you in for next Tuesday.

So you are basically unhappy they you didn’t get enough “likes”?

This peak Gen Z, to the point I think it’s performative satire.

Especially when using one of the definitive Gen X movies, Office Space (which in todays connected, lavishly paid tech worker, working remotely in pajamas is like the antithesis of todays office).

It’s great to leave on a good note, but your attention really should be on your new job.

Honey, there's nothing "cool" or edgy about an Office Space meme. Something from a GenX/Elder Millennial movie that's been probably posted a million times?

Yeah. I was told Gen Z mocks millennials for sending memes like that on Slack or whatever. They prefer giant emoji strings to make their points.
