Bridal Shower question

I got an invite for a bridal shower today for my cousin. There is no registry on the invite so I’m assuming she’s not registered anywhere. I’ve never been to a bridal shower where there wasn’t a registry. So do I just not bring anything? I’m confused by this! Her and her fiancé are 28 & 29 and very well off so I’m assuming that’s why but I’m still not sure what to do in this situation!

Of course you bring something to celebrate her. It does not matter how well off you asssume they are.

What do you bring to a shower where the bride doesn’t have a registry? Assuming that means they don’t want typical boxed gifts (champagne or wine glasses, picture frames, etc.)?

You don't give money to a shower. You can give a giftcard to a store like Crate & Barrel.

Op here: I just got a text back from my other cousin (her sister) and she confirmed that she has no registry for the shower or wedding.

You pick out a gift that you think the bride and groom would appreciate, and you give it at the shower along with a card. That’s all there is to it. The gift can be anything, and the cost doesn’t matter.

I would select some kind of serving dish/cheese platter/fancy cutting board from Crate & Barrel and include a gift receipt. See can return with ease.

Ask the sister what you’re supposed to do.

It’s rude to not have a registry if you don’t also say “please no gifts.” Even if you live in a cash gift culture for the wedding, if you’re having a shower you need a registry or to say no gifts.

Either ask the host or get them some type of home thing you like or you think they would like (this is what everyone did in the days before registries FYI). I often get spice baskets from penzeys because they’re fancy and home-focused and useful (assuming they cook) and consumable (so they don’t have to keep it around if it doesn’t suit them).

This is a good idea.
Other options:
great quality towel sets in white, figuring that everyone needs towels.
Silver picture frame
Picnic basket and bottle of wine
