| I'm going to my niece's college graduation. is it appropriate to wear white jeans and a nice top or do I need to be more dressy? |
| I think this would be okay. Add in nice jewelry and wear some dressy shoes. |
| Sure it's fine. Nobody's looking at you. |
Yes, of course. I will be in a floaty dress, but that's because I want to hide my tummy
|
| I'm going to be an outlier. I think white jeans are too casual for a graduation. And I love white jeans. |
| White jeans would have been too casual at my 8th grader's middle school graduation. All the moms wore dresses or skirts (most dresses). |

I am pretty sure I wore white jeans to my 8th grade middle school graduation. Yes, with a white and blue sailor top, and white and gold loafers. |
| I wore nice white jeans with a dressy top to my nephew's graduation last year at UVA, and I wasn't the only one. It's totally fine. |

So maybe it depends on the wealth of the families there (private, public, neighborhood if public). |
| Where is it? It might be too hot for white jeans and you could be more comfortable in a dress. |
| Parents dress up due to picture taking/photo op. I think Aunt’s can wear white jeans. |
| Noone's looking at you and thinking - gawd, she's wearing white jeans. eye roll |
+1 I wouldn't care if people wore shorts. It's just graduation, and you are not the star. But, I would not wear white jeans if I'm going to be sitting on a public seat. Stains would show up on the butt too easily. |
