Has anyone gotten off the waitlist for TJ yet?

My child said nobody from the school got off the waitlist yet...is the waitlist moving but the school just didn't get anyone off?

Same for mine. His entire friend group is on the waitlist.

It is unlikely the WL will move, almost everyone accept the offer and haven't heard any turn down.

The waitlist will move. Just be patient and put it out of your mind for another month or so - they will operate on their timeline, not yours.

It won't move a ton - I would bet maybe one out of every 20-30 kids on the waitlist will get offered - but it will move.

That is very high, suggesting maybe 10% of the class will turn down spots.

I posted above that I doubt 10% will turn down, but now I realize that much more than this turned down among people I know who were accepted.

It’s easy to forget that, at bottom, these are just kids. Good luck to your kid.

Appreciate the kind words. It’s out of everyone’s hands at this point.

looks like sophomore/jr apps are due friday. I'm guessing they will do a wait pool update on 5/26. " is anticipated that we will begin to notify wait pool students in mid-late May with the first offers. "

will they arrange the open house for waited pool kids after they got offer?
Anonymous
yes, some movement this week.

This is a bit confusing. I heard that in DC's school, a couple of kids had already declined the offer and a kid from wait pool from same school received the offer and has accepted. The offers are supposed to be on a rolling basis. So the movement on wait pool must have already started. They inform kids as the seats become available.
