Illegal ATVs on public space - Connecticut Ave NW

According to the DC Metropolitan Police website, "It is illegal to ride or operate a minibike, dirt bike or All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) anywhere on public space in the District of Columbia (including streets, sidewalks, alleyways, bike lanes, public trails and other public locations)." So why have a number of ATVs, dirt bikes, and minibikes been parked on public space around the corner from the Cleveland Park branch library for many months? Isn't it past time for these to be removed? Are the riders all at the library?!

DC doesn't enforce a lot of laws and this is one of them. If they try to enforce this law then they'll be attacked by SJW activists so everyone stays quiet and pretends that it's not a problem.

At least they aren’t speeding on them up and down your neighborhood streets and parks. I would love for ATVs to just be parked in my neighborhood.

Uh, then what are they doing there if they are not being used (illegally, as it turns out)? Is it an urban street art installation?

PP and I wouldn’t care what they are doing there. As long as they are not being driven the wrong way down one way streets, in a field where children play, etc. as they are in my neighborhood then I don’t care why they are parked there. But I don’t live in upper NW so maybe that’s why.

So call the non-emergency police line about them. What does complaining about them here and snarking about MPD's website do?

Seems like an excellent time to resurrect the Monkey Wrench Gang. Those ATVs would be rendered useless by George Haywood, Doc, Bonnie and Seldom Scene... seems like a win/win to me.
