apple watch high intensity strength training setting

What do you use on your apple watch if you exercise with high intensity strength training. Not really HIIT, not really functional strength training. Strength training that is also cardio, sometimes called metabolic conditioning.

I think it's a pretty common workout type now, and I don't get why it isn't an apple watch option.

I've been using the Cross Training option under Other for this type of class

I use the HIIT setting. Genuinely curious -- what difference does it make?

Doesn't it calculate calories burned differently? I was under the impression that it gives you a set number of calories burned for different kinds of exercise based on your age, weight, height, gender. Like you get more calories burned for HIIT than yoga regardless of what your actual heartrate is.

Maybe I'm wrong about that?

Calories burned is wildly inaccurate across all apps. So it doesn’t matter.
