There is still some time left for them to provide a transition plan.

Exactly, EVERYONE is waiting on further guidance.

Guess we will see when leagues put out statements
Was there a transition plan the last time they went from SY to BY?

Only if they then decide to play up vs. BY opponents. Whole leagues could shift, I guess, except it appears as though they promised not to!

I read somewhere at least 1 big league went early and wasn't penalized or anything for it.

ECNL would if they could. They planned on it. Blame the idiots who cried about readiness to change.

Waiting a year is not as bad as it seems. Most players will remain on the team they already are on. It's those looking to switch and the sept/Q4 who will have the uncertainty and likely just at the highest levels. At other levels, like strong USYS clubs, they aren't sweating over it, because they aren't going to force kids to younger team and aren't really expecting a ton of septQ4 from outside to want to be on their top teams. If anything they'll lose better players trying to jump up to ECNL or GA (depending on what they do) -- But that's the case each year regardless.

Nope. This was about all there was.

Waiting a year at younger ages is a BIG deal.

I have the only Q3/4 on the ecnl team and I just wonder how 25/26 will look, knowing it’s the last year on the team, from a coach and player/parent perspective. Will she be treated different

This collaboration of youth members is ongoing, and each member is continuing to provide feedback and recommendations."

My kid doesn't want to play "down", and I can't convince them that they have been playing "up" this whole time. I am hoping the club makes a decision for us.

The club very likely will make the decision for you if you're talking ECNL.
