Will any real candidate running against Biden?
Is he running with Harris or someone else? |
|
No.
Yes. |
|
Joe IS the nominee. He’s the incumbent president.
All these gadflies saying they’re going to run against Joe are really doing the country a huge disservice. And it’s very disrespectful too. |
I will vote for him, but 78 years old.... |
He’s 80. He would be 82 on Inauguration Day. It’s insane. |
He is literally the bet the country has right now |
No, he’s not. What a weird take. |
We knew this when state after state voted for him in the primaries before 2020. He was, and remains, the best option to take on MAGA. I’m all for younger and more vivacious candidate, but there is no better option and the past few years have been a pretty decent return to normalcy post trump. I’m good with biden. |
There are others, but no one is going to primary Biden out of respect for him. Biden should’ve retired. He is going to look awful against any young GOP candidate….MAGA or not. Yes, I knew his age in 2020, too, which is why I wanted someone younger then. Democrats are so afraid of change. It’s annoying. |
It’s not only out of respect for biden. It’s about the risk, and the optics, of taking the incumbent President off the ticket after one term. I don’t think for one second that this is a vanity thing for biden. This was a strategic decision for the democrats and honestly, the well being of our democracy given where the GOP is at. Biden was the best bet in 2020 and everybody knew that if he was able, it would mean Biden running for a second term. Biden did the country a great deal of service by getting us out of the trump nightmare we were living. |
+1 Why are Democrats in particular so intent on not retiring before they have to be practically carried out? What's the point? |
| With Biden, it’s really a vote for a president Harris. |
| He beat Trump once, he can do it again. Good enough for me |
+1! |
And what if the GOP doesn’t nominate Trump? |
