Why Chicago and not a swing state like Atlanta, Georgia?
I would’ve picked Atlanta this was a mistake, like not having Iowa picked first. |
| Atlanta is a tiny, tiny Blue island in a sea of red. Dems can do so much better. We don’t owe the south a ***damned thing. |
I think Chicago is the perfect place for the Democrats to hold their convention. I agree with you! |
| Chicago makes no sense. Crime issues, deficit issues, poor leadership. |
|
Embrace the suck... basically.
Declining population, slow economic growth, rising crime... all good! |
| I suggest it be in Pennsylvania |
|
Why not?
Chicago is wonder! Very rich and vibrant. The Obamas are from Chicago. |
| Not one vote is influenced by the location of the convention. |
|
Magas now call the Windy City “chiraq”
Let’s show them a proud and vibrant union town !!!! |
|
No way the DNC could go with Atlanta. Not after the Democrats were successful at ousting the MLB All Star game from the city a couple years ago.
We saw that it was a false narrative they were pushing, but that didn't stop them from the hateful rhetoric about "Jim Crow 2.0" and crap like that. Having it in Atlanta would reveal the lie. |
Georgia's history of creating rules to suppress the minority vote is long and incontrovertible. They tried to do away with Souls to the Polls. The final legislation added early voting on Saturday and made all Sunday early voting optional by county. Everybody knows who was targeted here. |
| Yes, why Chicago? Its a freaking maga town! Remeber Juicy? |
And, yet their early voter turn out shattered records. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/3722144-georgia-early-voting-shatters-record/ Sorry, friend. We know the truth here. And, apparently so did the GA voters. That is why Stacey Abrams lost spectacularly. |
| Have it in Detroit or Bmore |
Did you know that Georgia currently has two D senators? I know, right! |
