What is something you loved and were glad to get new?

Registry is complete, every thing is bought, and I don’t want to do clothes because I know they are getting a ton.

A picture frame ( nice) baby blanket with baby's name or a teddy. A couple of classic toddler books..what is your budget?

Books with a gift receipt or Uber eats card.

$50 ish budget.

I am going to 2 showers, and bought books for the other one.

Agree with an Uber Eats gift card.

We were given a year's family membership to a local science museum. We were given six months of a diaper delivery service. Oh! We were also given six months to a CSA, so just got a box of local, organic produce each week.

I’m going to be honest I wouldn’t want or use any of these and the CSA would be a burden. Don’t give tasks as gifts.

A science museum seems like an odd gift for a family with a newborn. It's something they'll get a lot more use out of a few years down the road.

Freddie the Firefly and an Uber eats gift card. All babies love Freddie the Firefly.

A year's family membership to a museum wouldn't work with a new baby.

Picture frame or porcelain piggy bank if you want a keepsake.

Savings bond or gift card if OK with giving set value.

But, if you already have a gift for one baby shower do you really need to get a second gift for a second baby shower? (Slight side eye to having two showers but know that sometimes goes that way)

I don't need to get two gifts. I don't need to go to both showers. But it's a very close and beloved family member so I want to do it.

One shower (the one where I'm giving books) is just family, and she invited me to the other shower before she knew that one was happening.

Another vote for that, or whatever fast casual place you know she likes. During the newborn phase, takeout was my savior.
