Tragedy for all, but this seems so wrong.

| The Arlington County DA is known for being SOFT on crime. IMO, she doesn't give AF about criminals running the streets. |
| Is it one year in juvenile detention? |
| We have juvenile court for a reason. It's good to see a prosecutor who acknowledges that. |
| It was a tragedy, but the family doesn’t dictate the punishment. |
| It's shameful. That poor family. I feel for victims of crime in ARL, they clearly aren't a priority. |
Vote her out in June!! She is defiant when faced with evidence that crime is on increase under her watch and it rose quickly. She is dragging this county down due to her arrogance and lack of concern for law abiding citizens of this county. |

The prosecutor asked for three years in detention. The court gave one.
I'll be honest - I'd feel the exact same way if I was the victim's family. But the victim's family isn't the standard setter. To have any meaningful idea of whether this was appropriate you'd need to look at what sentence was given in previous cases. We don't take drunk driving seriously enough in general. |
| That kid had a previous history of alcohol and THC abuse, and was driving 94 mph in a 35. F’ing sickening he gets to walk free in a year. |
Unfortunately, I am not moving back to Arlington until the fall but I would certainly never vote for her and am encouraging everyone I know not to. She's an idiot. |
What if it was 2 months later? |
Then it would be two months later and he would not be a minor. |
He had a prior record of alcohol abuse. Too weak then. Then he killed somebody. I bet this isn’t the last time. |
| 94! On Old Dominion. |
| Tafti needs to go. She has done Arlington no favors. |
