Northeastern (first year Oakland), Brandeis or GW?

Decision time is coming up fast and dc is having a hard time. These are their three top choices. Will likely study comp sci, business or a combination thereof. Dc is very bright, a nice kid, and a bit quirky. Coming from a very small high school with a lot of individual attention. Regarding Brandeis, we are Jewish and view the Jewish history as a plus. WWYD?

GW also has a strong Jewish student community, FWIW.

GW if ok with city school. Brandeis isn’t strong in computer science or business. And I’m not a fan of Northeastern.

Same recommendation here. If the student were interested in humanities or natural sciences, I'd probably vote Brandeis.

Assuming you are not the Northeastern troll (19th Northeastern post in three weeks - a DCUM record): for CS or Business - Northeastern, then Brandeis, then GW. Many DCUMers are misinformed and only know what they Google re: Boston schools, as you likely know by now.

If you are the predictable Northeastern troll, how sad for you.

Definitely not the Northeastern troll . Why Brandeis over GW?

Three very different schools, but historically, the above ranking fits. It depends what school setting your DC wants. You need to visit each one in person.

Be apprised there are posters who were refused admission to one (in particular) or more.

Said this in another post, I am against the game that Northeastern plays to accept you but you start at a different campus for a year. Choose a school that wants you. I’d choose GW due to location to government. But Brandeis isn’t a bad option either.

For overall college experience and quality of student, definitely Brandeis. For computer science, I think Northeastern is the best choice.

But is Northeastern Oakland the best choice?

It's only one year, then Boston.

Northeastern is definitely better than Brandeis for overall college experience and quality of student.

Question is that is it still better with one year at Oakland first.
