I just pledged $50 to her future opponent, assuming she runs again. It was cathartic. The total is currently above $2.2 mil, aiming for $4 mil.

But not a dime to get the rape kits off the shelves and tested. Why? Don't we all want to get the actual rapists off the streets? Why should they be protected??

Democrats are more likely to authorize the funding for it.

Why haven't you already DONE it?????

Funding was approved under Obama, but Republicans limited the amount. Nothing more has been approved since Trump took office.

Stop making excuses. Just get it DONE!

Susan Collins how do you Dems like her womansplaining?

I’m a liberal female federal employee. Everything the right hates. I have an amazing husband, two very cool (IMHO), very nerdy, completely awesome kids, and two cats with attitude problems. I run a lot of carpools.

I also experienced a sexual assault before age 18. I’d like to say I was at the Capital today with my story, and making my voice heard, but I wasn’t. I’m not strong enough or brave enough to talk about it. The only people I have been able to tell are my husband, my therapist and my best friend. My husband and best friend know that I was assaulted, but not the details. My therapist knows the details because I have written them down. I can’t talk to her about it. So I write to her about it. I still can’t say the words 25 years later. I still have nightmares.

What Susan Collins did today was cruel. She could have been a yes all along and not created the buildup. She could have left it at announcing a yes this morning, like Flake or Sasse, and moved on without the drama. I hate their decisions, but they weren’t personal they way Collins’s was. She could have discussed his record and their discussions..
I really don’t understand why Susan Collins would say she believes Dr. Ford— except she doesn’t believe the part about the attempted rape. That she believes sexual assault is important— just not important enough to actually do anything. While making a production of being the person responsible for ramming Kavanaugh through Congress. Her speech was an extra special f#ck you to #MeToo.

I wouldn’t understand the cruelty if a man did it either. But it seemed more personal coming from a woman. I saw a tweet that called it worlds slowest, longest middle finger to sexual assault survivors. And it was.

This is certainly why I have never been able to talk about it. Because I know that she’s saying what most people think.

It was very hard to hear Dr. Fords testimony, and it has been a hard ten day. Susan Collins made sure the knife was jammed in as far as possible and twisted.

These are liberal tears. Literally. This lib concedes. I have been owned. Congrats. I hope you feel better than I do.

No they care only about their ability to post on Facebook about their donation to rid the scourge of Susan Collins from the land.

The Dems will now turn their venom toward her. Linda Sansour is already sounding the drumbeat, calling Collins a "disgrace" and having a few words about "white women," who are now seen as the enemy.

This sounds great. Hopefully girls will feel more empowered to do this as time goes on. Overcoming social stigma to say something, potentially destroying your social life in the process, is a really tall order for a teenager. Like it or not, there is still misogyny in our “bros before hos” culture.

Kinda like blocking Kavanaugh from SCOTUS? Some things aren’t in one party’s power. Who are you yelling at, anyway?

I'm so sorry, PP. The Republican Senators are total assholes.

You’re trying to buy a political seat of a senator? I don’t know what to say.

I will donate for the people who run against the R's in the senate today. Except murkowsky.
I WANT THEM OUT. They are irreparably corrupted.

Oh, sweetie, you do not that Lisa Murkowski has been investigated for corruption.

This confirmation gives me great pleasure. It is great that this kind of terrorism, false smears, have not prevailed. This is a turning point in the social wars.

Every one of the republicans who votes for rapist O’Kavanaugh needs to be removed from office. Vote them all out. They are evil. Salt the earth where they live.

Your joy gives me strength ... to vote every one of those bastards out of office. Come talk to us when someone you love has faced sexual assault.

I feel awesome. For years, we sat with our morals and our integrity while you scum went as low as you needed to. We finally learned how the game is played. Kavanaugh may be appointed, but he’ll never be safe. We don’t even need to impeach him. All we have to do is keep reminding the public that he is damaged goods, a partisan hack, someone who’s judgment can’t be trusted. Every 5-4 decision that swings Trump’s way is proof that K is corrupt. And unless you thugs plan to destroy your country and launch a one party dictatorship, there will be no political will to implement his corrupt ruling. The deference we have given every other justice will not be given to him and he will have to feel that until he resigns or dies.

He may never be convictrd, but he’ll be just as tarnished as Hillary. We’ll make sure of it. There will be no widespread adoration, no book deals. And there will always be a true American patriot that will tell the world of every little conflict of interest to fuel the conspiracy theories. When Justice Kavanaugh hangs out with the CEOs of companies with cases before his court, the world will know. He won’t get the protection Scalia got.

And I can speak from experience when I say that overweight Irish drunks don’t tend to last very long in this world. The rage and the drink are bad on the heart.

C&Ping this because I can't quote it:

YES THIS. WE ARE DONE WITH HIM. HE will always be scum. He could have gotten his name cleared with a real investigation but he chose not to. The whole US will know it was because he knew he couldn't pass. HE IS DONE. He may get to the court but will ALWAYS be illegitimate.

To me, this comes close to victim blaming. If is not easy for women to come forward, particularly because society tends to believe the man. This needs to change first.
