STM never did very well in the ratings. They have only been around 15-16 months so one could say they needed more time, but they never appeared to make any traction. I would not necessarily blame it on them as the station has done poorly for quite a while normally finishing around 19th or 20th place whereas Hot 99.5 usually 3rd or 4th, and Fresh FM 94.7 usually finishes around 10th. It's really hard to say if more time would have led to a larger following. They certainly were active in the community and on social media it seemed. During the last week, there were a few times they posted on the show's Twitter reminding every one to follow their personal Twitters as well, and on Friday, they posted a picture of the whole crew together at the studio so you kind of felt like the end was possibly near (not to mention the rumors circulating).

Probably the most entertaining thing they did was the preview before the show was actually announced back in July 2014. Sarah ran a few youtube videos saying she had a secret to reveal and then would have a cane and roses at the end of throw them to the side saying "I guess I won't be needing these any more." I always found them funny as a knock on Kane and War of the Roses.

Just saw that as well. It doesn't help that the station is changing but the show really did struggle in ratings. I think no matter how much time went by STM was always gonna be associated with Kane, and not in a good way.

That makes me a little sad. I don't listen to STM religiously but I really really enjoyed it when I do especially with Samy being on there. Makes me feel like the old crew at 99.5 that I used to like.
