I feel bad because I was the one who originally posted that article suggesting that idea. But in that post I was legitimately asking if this theory was plausible/if Lively would be able to demand such a request. |
I guess we'll have to see what happens with summary judgment motions, which won't be for months and months. If Baldoni's defense to the SH claims is as strong as you predict, then presumably he'll win a MSJ against all or most of her claims. It might not get that far, will probably depend on how discovery goes. I think discovery is going to be very deposition heavy and much will depend on what witness say to corroborate either narrative. I'm not talking bout the high profile witnesses like Reynolds or Swift, but people like the makeup artists, assistants, lesser known cast and crew who actually witnessed what went on during the filming. Also other Wayfarer producers and employees who are on a lot of these texts and emails but haven't been identified yet. I think we really do not have all the facts yet, even with the big info dump from Baldoni last week. |
This case will go away before Lively sits down for a deposition. It will definitely go away the second Taylor Swift is noticed lol. |
I don't even like Blake Lively. I think it is really bizarre how if your opinion on any of this isn't overwhelmingly supportive of JB and his lawyer, you must be working for BL's PR firm. It's crazy making. I'm interested in the legal aspects of this case and don't really care for any of the parties involved. The hearing yesterday was pretty standard and not a huge win or a huge loss for either side. |
How will it go away though? I don't think either party will just drop it, and settlement is getting dicey because both sides have deep pockets and an axe to grind. |
What is Ryan and Blake's plan to recover from this? Their careers are over. Ryan ought to divorce Blake. |
+1. Justin is going to be a very rich man. |
You have no idea about this. Baldoni hasn't addressed the really serious stuff like barging into the trailer and the birth scene having an unexpected stranger show up. He's posting clips of their dance and inviting speculation. He really has not addressed the more substantive charges. Which is great for the court of public opinion but less so in the court of actual law |
He addressed it. |
No one cares about you and who you do and do not like. You’re spinning and presenting your biased take as innately objective and then sobbing to Jeff when it’s pointed out to you. |
Not substantively IMO. Just fluff. |
But Hugh is with Sutton now. Why divorce. Both he and his wife are in their own crap up past their nostrils. |
+1 Baldoni has been using a "flood the zone" strategy to try and distract from Lively's best and most substantive allegations. A significant portion of the emails and texts he's released are not even material to the case -- they are just personally embarrassing to Lively or Reynolds. It feeds the tabloids and results in lots of headlines about what bad people they are. But Baldoni hasn't really addressed most of her allegations directly, regarding SH or retaliation. A few he has contextualized but not refuted them. We'll see if the answers to the complaints offer any more insight into what his actual defense to some of these allegations are. But that won't be for a while since Lively hasn't even filed an amended complaint yet. |
Right right right. How many times have you been passed over for partner? |
Not once! |
