I think the second name change shows a lot of instability with his personality. He probably has borderline personality disorder. He has deep mommy and daddy issues. He hates women because his mother divorced his bio father. All indications are that Mr. Bowman did not keep up with young James Donald Bowman. No one points out that you will never find that a person named JD Vance served in the Marines. It's so weird that he took a third name as a grown man.

His hypocrisy (yes it’s the hypocrisy) of him looking like he’s having a lot of fun dressing as a woman when he’s part of a party that seems so upset by this is just a small piece of his weirdness.
