F45

I have been going to F45 for about 6 weeks now but I don’t see much change in weight. Sure, I have lost some pounds and gain muscles but the man boobs and gut is still there. What am I doing wrong?

You’re probably still eating (or drinking! Which is my personal issue)too much.

It’s likely your diet. You need to clean that up to get results.

OP here- I don’t drink - May be 1 drink a week. And overall, I eat healthy too.

6 weeks is just the very beginning. Give yourself at least 6 months. Take progress photos, and celebrate the small wins. Seriously - sustainable lifestyle change and body composition changes take time!! This isn’t biggest loser. Keep at it, OP - you got this. Xoxo

Calorie deficit -> weight loss. Lifting weights and eating protein helps sustain and possibly gain muscle.

That’s a great foundation. But you need to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight/fat.

My DH has the same issue. He said the moobs and bellly are more likely genetic. His dad had them, too, and I think so does DS, 18, who is very very thin.

I have always had a little stomach pooch, even when I was a size 0. It's just the way my body is made, I guess.

OP here. I eat healthy, I exercise but now my fat weight and % fat is increasing. I have done about 50 classes. What should I do different? I workout in the evenings, would working out in the morning help?

What does eating healthy mean? To drop fat you need to drop calories. A lot of 'healthy' food has a lot of calories. Nuts, for instance. Are you counting calories? That's what you need to do to drop weight. You can eat healthy and be in a calorie surplus.

You are eating too much and are likely not structuring what and when you are eating. Losing weight as an early 40s male absent some health issue is pretty straight forward. As for when you exercise, that may dictate when and how you are eating. It’s 10:45 right now and I haven’t eaten anything since I didn’t have time yet. I just finished running 4 miles and I’ll eat after I shower.

Sleep is also important. So is hydration. You should try drinking nothing but water.

Curious what the gym is like? I see one was opening in Springfield.

Track your grams of sugar, fat, carbs, and protein and your calories each day for a week and reassess your diet.

Two things -

Weight loss is based on diet, not exercise.

If you're relying on the the little in-studio machines they have that tell you fat %, those have a massive margin of error. Get a measuring tape and use that.

How much is F45? I can’t find pricing on their website and I don’t want to put in my contact information. Just curious because one opened up near me.
