Why do Rs hate their poor people but claim they are prolife

(Red) States that declined the medicaid expansion are having to shut the doors to the hospitals that server largely poorer areas.

The MS governor would rather cut taxes than help the poor. They have a surplus budget. Is he a Christian, btw?

The governor says the state’s $3.9 billion surplus would be best used to help eliminate Mississippi’s income tax.

Dr. Daniel P. Edney, the state’s top health officer, said he did not set Medicaid policy, and he has been careful not to take sides. But he predicted emerging health care deserts where women would have to travel long distances to deliver babies and more sick people would die because they could not gain access to care.

Of the state’s hospitals, “I have maybe heard of two that are generating any profit,” he said. When he asks hospital executives if Medicaid expansion would help their balance sheets, he said, “they say it’s a game changer.”

He predicted that five hospitals would soon downgrade into mere emergency rooms, where doctors work to stabilize patients, then transfer them to the nearest hospital.

If that happens, some of the sickest will not make it, said Dr. Jeff Moses, an emergency room physician at Greenwood Leflore.

Is this Making America Great Again? I guess so, if "great" means killing of the poor.

It’s no secret that life is cheap to “pro life” people. You don’t value what you have in abundance. I know for a fact I love my two planned and very much wanted children more than my Catholic grandfather of 9 ever loved any of his kids. Maybe he would have been a good dad to 1 or 2, instead he was a miserable drunk who worked all the time and took great pleasure in beating them after a bender.

Because there needs to be babies (infants) available to adopt, future cheap labor & future soldiers. Without an underclass to exploit…

This. It's one reason why red states like Arkansas want to roll back child labor laws. If you have five poor kids, surely you can afford to main or lose one or two by age 16 in a meat packing plant. Just like the good old days.

Didn’t one of those backwards states just legalize child labor?

As Dennis Miller put it before 9/11 broke his brain, "conservatives support a right to life without rights."

In this case, they have no right to life, or at least, medical care to save your life. Very prolife.../s

Why are liberals ignoring all the hospitals that closed after ObamaCare went into effect. and only focusing on expansion of Medicaid?

Republicans:
We have the right to make decisions about your body.
This is America! God gave it to Americans!
We have the right to own as many guns of any type that we want.
The second amendment is the most important part of the Constitution. The first amendment is inconvenient and little more than a suggestion.
The Bible says homosexuality is a sin! All of those parts about acceptance and love, the parts about accepting immigrants, those parts where Jesus treats 'lesser' people well...those are, um, well, they're, um.....
We will fight tooth and nail against the idea that health care is a right, that education is a right, that access to food is a right, and that a safe home is a right.
Finally, we'll claim that it's the Democrats that have morality issues.

If a religious hospital refuses to provide healthcare, I hope it closes.

What are Republicans proposing to address the problem besides taking away health insurance from people?

Look, if I had to choose between going bankrupt from medical bills because I had no insurance or driving 40 miles to the nearest hospital, neither is ideal, but I wouldn’t even hesitate to choose the drive. Maybe you don’t care about money.

The expansion of Medicaid helps keep hospitals open:
