A Congressmember recently attacked not too far away.
These high profile cases attract attention, meanwhile there are so many attacks that don't even make the media. |
| Bye bye Charles Allen, hope the guys ok, but DC residents are secretly thinking this is good timing right before Chucky has to March on the Hill again |
| How about we focus on healing DC by dismantling the current Council of the Dunces? |
Of course he was. Just released means it's time to commit another crime! JFC. |
It adds to the vibrancy. If republicans ever get both houses and the presidency, home rule will be dead |
It sucks that this happened….but what was supposed to happen after someone serves their time in prison? They are dumped on the streets with little support. It’s the same story across the country. |
He served 12 years, it’s not like it wasn’t a serious/appropriate penalty. I wonder if they were aware that he had major mental health issues or what actually happened. That is a very busy block including with families, etc at that time of day. Scary. |
| This is sad. Not just for the staffer, but also DC in general. The tipping point has been reached. It's not safe. |
| How do we just continue to ignore the need for comprehensive mental heath care? |
| Since posters get upset when DC is portrayed in a negative light, I suggest we spin this as "DC is running out of guns." |
| Damn. We almost moved there. |
There are a lot of options that don’t involve stabbing somebody. There are millions of poor, homeless people who manage not to deliberately injure others. People like you who excuse violence are part of the problem. |
