We are leaning to calling our baby Aya. Thoughts?
Any other pretty but simple Arabic names? Not looking to scream “Arab” so please no Zainab or Fatima |
| I am not a huge fan of Aya but think it's decent. I love Arabic names for girls in general. Lots of great choices. Nora is Arabic but passes for non-Arabic. Same with Leila. Samira is my favorite |
| Inayat |
| Ayah means nurse maid in my language. |
| I really like it. |
| Maya and Amira are both nice |
|
I don't love Aya, it seems as though it's missing something. Also means governess in Spanish.
Lots of great Arabic names for girls though! I like Zahra, Leila, Noura, Farah - many others too. |
| I don't love Aya because it has many different meanings in other languages -- grandmother, "oh my!", etc... |
| Amal, Tamara, Noor |
|
If I’d had another girl she would have been Zaida. Love it.
|
| I like Leila and Tala. |
| Noor |
| I know a beautiful little girl named Rabiya nn Bea |
| Not a big fan of Aya. But there is Anissa, Alyssa (in Arabic the “A” is written as a “ein”), Amira, etc. |

The Arabic girls names that are easiest to pronounce and use here in the US are:
