Pretty grim. Talking about student loan debt in particular. |
Behind paywall.
But if I can make an assumption based on the article title, it's someone complaining about life being unfair rather than acknowledging the mistakes of individual decisions. |
Summary: Life is tough.
Takeaway: Buckle up. You aren't guaranteed anything. |
“Late young adult” |
“adulting” makes an appearance. For someone nearing 40, WTAF. |
There has never been a catastrophe so great as generation <insert word here> reaching <insert milestone here>. |
LOL. Said repeatedly across the millennia. |
Sorry I don't pay to read news. It's part of my "adulting" |
There is something about millennials that went so wrong. Gen Z is better. |
As a GenX I love this : One thing Millennials do have that we in GenX do not: enough numbers for people to write articles like this about them. Where the the thought pieces when we turned 40??
Though we did have This is 40 |
I am 34 and I am NOT middle aged. F off. |
Interesting article. I read it - and to PPs, I don’t think it is people moaning at all. It is about how life if different for today’s 40 year olds - objectively different, from the sorts of crises we have experienced in recent times, to the cost of housing, the aging population, etc. The headline refers to the idea that the pop culture mid life crisis where a guy buys a flashy car and runs away with a younger woman is unlikely for today’s 40 something men, who may have only just got married/had kids for the first time. |
34 x 2 = 68. Which is old So you are middle aged sorry |
Agreed. And it IS different. Not sure why so many of the PPs are so miserable. -I'm Gen X |
That actually makes you a child |
