Same. But we don’t give end of year/Christmas bonus.

Huh, we do - and it's very expensive!

OP here. Asking because I have been tipping 20 percent on our monthly cleaning service. I assumed this was the norm but maybe not!

I tip the 2 cleaning staff $20 each after each monthly cleaning. I do not tip any differently at Christmas time. I know that I am not required to tip them and I pay quite a lot to the company for the monthly cleaning. But I figure that the cleaning staff do not make that much money and I am happy to not have to do the cleaning myself.

No. We did give something extra during the height of covid but now we don't.

At first we didn’t because it was the owner of a small cleaning business actually doing the cleaning. She took on a few employees, and another lady in her company now does our cleaning. We started tipping her rather than a raise since we don’t know if the raise would result in an increase in our cleaner’s pay. We’ve had the same person for many years and they haven’t raised their rates.

No, but we have the same keeper come every week. I provide a two-week bonus @ Christmas as well as pay for Christmas day. Also, nearly every time we are out of town, I provide paid time off for that week. That's usually 4-6 times/year.

So you haven't offered a rate increase with the last two years of inflation?

I assume those of you who are tipping use a cleaning service with different random cleaners each time? Otherwise, aren't you just increasing the rate by "tipping"? Which then has to be taxed too.

I have a service and I tip when they do a stellar job, which unfortunately is rarely. I put them on notice recently to shape up or I would fire them, and mentioned how they keep breaking things.

Now every visit is spent with some cleaner literally crying over how she broke my votive after they PROMISED they would stop breaking things and wanting to know where I got a 25 year old votive so they can buy me a new one. So that's fun.
