Own your choices. We’re hanging around the house, being deliciously lazy. I’m not jealous at all of someone contending with jet lag and DST, the packing, the drama of short term travel.
Also, *some* people who travel a lot didn’t know how to be happy in their normal surroundings, it’s not a love for travel. Some of my friends love to travel, but I feel happy for him, and then really don’t envy the ones who just can’t be happy unless they’re on the move. |

This, and it’s why I quit social media. The only people who posted any more were the ones who wanted others to envy them. I’m much happier not being on the site. The in person bragging is bad enough. |

| I love following my friends’ trips, but sometimes get envious too. If you can afford the beach, you can probably afford a long weekend in London sometime. See what you can do to make it happen. |

| Do you travel in the summer or winter break? We are doing a few days in Florida for spring break and I think it’s great! Several of our friends are going skiing, Europe, Caribbean, etc. (private school has 2 week long spring break). I am not envious to be honest, but we do travel a lot in the summer and winter break every year… we can’t afford to pay for a third international trip and take more time off. |

| Compare yourself to those less fortunate than yourself. We are going to Aruba for spring break, but over the summer, Rehoboth for a few days and that’s it.. My kid has a very wealthy friend that goes all over the place, she has other friends who share bedrooms and go nowhere. It’s all ok. |
