| DC/NOVA/MD is now chicago? What is up with the wind here any meteorologists lurking around? I've notice there have been tons of windy days, this week or two alone will have 5-6 days that had gale force winds. Why? I need more than "global warming." What exactly is happening with the winds here? |

OP, are you new here? Winter is usually windy in DC. It's just been a very mild winter so far, but the La Nina has ended.

I have lived in the DC area for decades. The last year to year and a half has significantly been windier. There are a lot more windier days then prior years.
