2M+ for this house, do you agree? Brand new and It looks like a giant garage from the curb.

| Garage house. lol |
| Oh my. I actually like the look of most of the McCraftsmans that get criticized on this board, but this one is really bad. |
| Sigh. That always bothers me and in this case, I’m even more bothered by the siding and the gaudy outside lighting. And the front windows are too small. Skipping the crown molding and using plain bathroom mirrors really stand out as cheap choices in an otherwise higher end home.Great kitchen though. |
The duplex next to it is way uglier. |
| It’s really, really ugly. I’m surprised classic cottages would do that. The price is reasonable. Inside is nice. |
|
So the price is with the market. Every home that we have been looking at in our neighborhood that is listed as over priced has sold. If it was over priced it wouldn’t have sold. Inventory has always been tight in the Arlington market since we have followed it in the past decade. New builds were 1.4-1.6 8 years ago and now they are 2.1+ which prices us out.
Buyers who buy in the $2MM want a 2 car garage, but that takes up 20 ft on a narrow lot on a 30 ft wide home. Now the house itself could have been done better but the front loading garage will always take up a lot of space on the outside and inside. |
What does it matter if we agree? It sold for 2.1. |
| Arlington is the capital of ugly. |
Would be hard pressed to pay 800 for it let alone their asking. |
| Horrible. |
| Arlington is the ugliest place in the DMV, hands down. |
| Holy hell that’s so awful. |
| This is what happens when you insist on walkability AND a 2-car garage. |
|
I like it.
Looks like a small church or cathedral. My only concern is the width of the garage openings. |
