Has anyone gotten Schwan’s meal delivery for elderly family?

Trying to figure out meals for elderly relatives. There’s a live-in aide, but they don’t seem happy with having her manage the meals. I was thinking maybe ordering some Schwan’s meals to have in the house might help? Has anyone used them?

My mother has purchased some. They aren't much different than quality what you could get frozen from Costco or Aldi's but the delivery. Portion sizes reasonable for a smaller appetite. Usually individually packaged in the box, like 4 separate individual pot roasts. I think they have a set day for deliveries to an area, orders placed online, no need for reoccurring orders. Lots of email offers. I think perfectly fine for what you want.

We used a different meal service in another area. There were cancellations due to weather events, too many people out sick, delivery person had vehicle issues. Also if the aide cannot make it or you have a sub and they drop off meals without giving it to a live person the meals can be sitting out for a long time. Not a as big a deal in winter if it's frozen, but it can be an issue in summer. Do you have a backup plan?

Can you cook a lot ahead, and freeze it? And then do some food delivery as a treat or delivery of fresh produce weekly, from like Whole Foods?

I don't know if you could also hire someone (a personal chef or TaskRabbit?) to cook a few weeks of meals at a time, in their kitchen?

Good luck.

What about something like Freshly? They deliver meals every week and they are easy to microwave.
