Anyone from Carson Middle receive AMC 8 results?

The delay in processing AMC 8 results at Carson Middle School is due to a technical issue, as reported by my DC. Consequently, the results are being handled manually.

What does the AMC 8 have to do with TJ? I thought they didn't care about that stuff anymore

Carson appears to have a MathCounts club and a separate Math Society.
AMC 8, Science Olympiad, maybe Math Olympiad. Carson kids probably also do AMC 10 and AIME.

The TJ application does not ask about math competitions and the essay section is done before kids would know the results so there is no way for a kid to include the outcome in their essay.

Unless of course they mention their results from last year. Not sure if TJ admissions should trust that, since if they do every other applicant will be an AIME qualifier

AIME is invite-only if you score high enough on the AMC10/12, and the invite comes from the MAA, not the school. You can't just sign up to do it.

Math Count+AMC 8 + Science Olympiad is no longer applicable to TJ admission. These tests are not admisnter with strict monitoring anyways. Not all schools participates hence under new admission process, they do not carry weight or perhaps work against the applicant.
