| The new Matchbox opened, and while that would not normally make me excited, it is a big step forward for “downtown” McLean. Please wise insiders of DCUM, when will the restaurants get better? |
| I grew up in McLean and I have wondered the same for years. I don't really know why it can't attract more. I was recently waiting for sushi to pick up and it was going to take longer than I thought so my husband and I walked around and it was so dead at 615PM on a Saturday. |

By design the major commuter roads like Dolley Madison do not run through the center of McLean. Less congestion = fewer eyeballs = fewer restaurants.
What’s there now is fine and the Matchbox is a good addition. |
| The major commuter rds go right near downtown. I think the old people have a cabal on dirty pasta restaurants. |
| North Arlington is a restaurant wasteland, be happy with McLean! |
McLean is worse. |
| I agree there aren't any great restaurants in downtown Mclean. But I have also noticed that some previously good restaurants in other places in the DMV have lost their Mojo since Covid. . I can't think of too many restaurants I'd really get excited about in the DMV. |
Are you crazy? North Arlington is leagues better. |
Ok then name some great n Arlington restaurants. |
| It’s a shame they didn’t put any new good restaurants in the rebrand of the Chesterbrook shopping center. |
| Never OP |
Aw, but Mylos is so charming |
| You're right next to Tysons! If only you grew up in MoCo and understood how far some people have to drive to have that selection due to zoning. |
| We don’t need another pizza place. |
Lebanese Taverna and Lost Dog in Westover are good. |
