Why Isn’t Marie Reed in Boundary for Deal or Hardy?

It really doesn’t make sense that Bancroft is in boundary for Deal but Marie Reed isn’t. Can someone explain why? At the very least, Marie Reed should be in boundary for Hardy.

Marie Reed is close to CHEC and not far from MacFarland. Why "should" it feed to different, over-crowded schools?

Shepherd is different because it brings high performing racial diversity to Deal/JR. Bancroft increasingly brings just more high SES white kids (see the loss of Title 1 status). West/Lewis and Powell lost their Deal feed when overcrowding and demographic changes forced the issue, and it’s good odds Bancroft will too.

You could pull Sherherd out of Deal and Deal would still by far be the most diverse MS in the city.

+1. Anyone who thought MacArthur was designed to relieve overcrowding at JR was sorely mistaken. It will be used to open up additional OOB seats to Ward 3 high schools. Y’all got played.
