Someone suggested this topic on the Blake Lively thread so I thought I would get it going.
I would be Angela Bassett or Viola Davis. Great husbands, great careers, great kids, great looks. |

Let's be honest here--Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
She seems to be so happy and grounded and have it all without being obnoxious. Sense of humor, great family and kids, awesome career, respected and friends with all kinds of interesting people in all fields, involved in a lot of social causes. Oh yeah and being literally the daughter of a billionaire ...

Maybe Keri Russell? Her husband is hot as hell, I think her career has been really cool, she seems private and low key. Maybe I need to think about it harder.
The problem is that the more I know about any celebrities life, the less appealing it is to me. I could only do this with someone who was very private and living as normal a life as possible (just with the benefits of wealthy and also getting to work in a creative field and have amazing opportunities). But the celebs like this are less on my radar precisely because they are not courting fame aggressively and only pop their heads out when they are promoting a project. So this rules out pretty much anyone based in LA, anyone associated with reality TV of any kind, anyone who ever leaks anything about themselves for purposes of press attention, most celebrities who do brand endorsement deals, etc. I just don't want that life. Honestly, my ideal would probably be to be like a screenwriter/producer. So... Paul Rudd's wife? The benefits of money and access, but do you know what she looks like or what her name is? Nope, and that's how she likes it. She's a genius, I admire her. |
Yeah, I was going to say that her background probably makes it a lot easier to deal with the craziness of Hollywood than it is for many. It is somewhat amazing that she seems so down-to-earth and grounded given the life she's led -- kudos to her and her parents for making that happen. I know people who grew up merely a little bit rich who didn't manage it. |
| Nancy Meyers probably |
I generally feel similarly but I might go a little more high profile than Russell. Think Michelle Williams, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts. |
| Oh god, absolutely none of them. No thanks! |
| Meryl Streep -- she's an amazing actress who can do drama or comedy -- and accents (!), she sings, she's in a long and seemingly happy marriage, she always seems to be having fun, she speaks truth to power, and she keeps her private life private for the most part |

None. I want to remain myself because I have a great family. Love my parents and siblings, love my DH, kids, relatives. Heck I even love my friends and neighbors. I just don't mind having their MONEY!!

| I love JLD but she had cancer. I would not swap with someone who had cancer. I would probably pick Zendaya. She is beautiful, intelligent, beloved, set for life, and she's like 15 years younger than me so I'd get some more time! |
I'm assuming you want to switch with her now, rather than before her cancer ordeal? I love her, don't get me wrong, but her life isn't all charmed. |
| Chris Hemsworth’s wife |
| Ina Garten. |

| I don't know why you guys want to switch lives with old people. The only thing I'm confident in is that (assuming I can keep my own mind) I'm switching with someone in their early 20s. |
