What is the best decaf coffee?

Would prefer organic. Can’t have caffeine for anxiety reasons anymore. Most decaf tastes awful . Drip coffee apparently it’s Heart healthy and lowers colon cancer risk

my husband had to switch to decaf. His favorites are San Francisco Bay Coffee Company Decaf French roast (he likes french roast--I get the regular and we order online a few lbs at a time and grind it at home, which I think also helps) . At the supermarket he will get Peets Major Dickason decaf. In a pinch he will do starbucks decaf verona. He is a fan of dark roasts and most decafs lack complexity or are bitter but thin.

I love the Kicking Horse Decaf. It’s organic, but best of all.. it isn’t wishy washy in flavour the way I find so many decafs are.

I like Cafe Bustelo, it's a good transition coffee. It's not completely decaf, but like 95%. Which is probably why I like it more than some that are undrinkable.

The regular Cafe Bustelo is 95% or is there a special decaf kind?

I really like the Caribou Decaf Blend by Caribou in the grocery store. Second favorite is Peets Arabian Mocha Java decaf. I have tried almost every decaf out there. Percolated decaf is much better than drip too, in my opinion.

Regular is 100mg of caffeine per 8oz cup

Decaf is closer to 5mg of caffeine per 8oz cup

Basically the bag should advertise itself as water process or Swiss water process decaf. It will probably cost a bit more, too. The other way to decaf coffee is with really bad for you chemicals that are used in like dry cleaning, to give you an idea of how bad the average decaf is

I drink Mount Hagen Organic Freeze Dried Instant Decaf Coffee. The water process is used to remove the caffeine.

Is this a good method?

“You don’t have to compromise a great cup of coffee just because you’re cutting back on caffeine. Whether you’re enjoying an evening cup paired with a sweet treat or sipping a few throughout a long day, you won’t have to fear a sleepless night with Placebo. Naturally processed using sugar cane (Ethyl Acetate) extraction to decaffeinate the coffee prior to roasting, Placebo provides a rich flavor and creamy body you can enjoy all day or evening without worrying about ruining your sleep schedule.”

I also switched to decaf for same reason. I like Peet’s Major Dickinson best and I have tried a lot so far (most are bad and like a pp said, TraderJoes is particularly horrible - and I love everything else about the store).
