His favorites are San Francisco Bay Coffee Company Decaf French roast (he likes french roast--I get the regular and we order online a few lbs at a time and grind it at home, which I think also helps) . At the supermarket he will get Peets Major Dickason decaf. In a pinch he will do starbucks decaf verona. He is a fan of dark roasts and most decafs lack complexity or are bitter but thin.

Longtime decaf drinker here and i drink San Francisco Bay Coffee Company’s “Decaf Gourmet Blend.” Peet’s Major Dickason decaf is my favorite but a little pricy for everyday.

Can also confirm the Trader Joe’s is undrinkable as is the Aldi.

Me too! It’s really decent. Not amazing, but pretty good for a coffee lover.

Where do you buy this?

At Whole Foods or on Amazon. You can buy it in a bag on Amazon which is better because the jars have arrived broken.

I went decaf for 6 weeks — I tried them all and noticed no difference in my body or sleep. Just irritated me to drink crummy coffee. Decaf has no essence. I’m back on caf starting Monday. Only thing I’m going to stop is caffeine past noon. No more afternoon 8oz coffees or flat whites.
