Does it make someone look more confident? Better posture? |
Yes because they can't stop talking about how they do pilates |
Ha, this cracks me up because I'm a fit 40yo who does Pilates machine classes as part of my exercise rotation and most of the ladies in the class are 60s! |
^ and they're confident b/c they're 60 an dont GAF! |
Yep, the same way that I know if someone does cross fit or barre bar or peloton |
THIS! And they never look as good as they think. I CAN tell when someone lifts weights. |
No |
No just like you can't tell with most other forms of exercise outside of running, swimming, and lifting. If you do anything outside of that you do not develop a particular body type that screams I DO PILATES. But you do look leaner and do have better posture. And you also aren't as cranky as some people on here seem to be. |
You can tell which seniors do regular Pilates. It's a great way to stay mobile. |
So is pickleball! MY MIL only does PB and is very fit. |
The changes are so subtle, even if someone is doing it for multiple hours every day. I notice it in myself for sure, but nobody else has and I wouldn't expect them to. |
I can too, but it’s not necessarily because they look great. |
Yes, but fwiw there are a lot more injuries in pickleball than Pilates. |
Yes, they look strong but lean and have good mobility. |
Sweetie, And who do you look like? |
