Please please please someone take over our “tent” from the Bfat No-Do! Is there anyone in that stupid balloon? I bet they would do a less corrupt job.

Lol wow. Finally people are waking up and these members are getting a dose of reality - a lot of their bills suck!!!

I agree with her. If this is the crime bill I don’t support it bit Congress has no business meddling in it.

I’d give up Home Rule in exchange for lower taxes and No-Do having to get a proper job

Except for this a thing called the US Constitution. Article I. Section 8. Clause 17.

“To exercise exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten miles square) as may, by cession of particular states, and the acceptance of Congress, become the seat of the government of the United States, and to exercise like authority over all places purchased by the consent of the legislature of the state in which the same shall be, for the erection of forts, magazines, arsenals, dockyards, and other needful buildings;”

Idk about anyone else, but the Council's new crime bill seemed like they were declaring "purge night" every night in DC. Congressional intervention on this is better for we law abiding residents, and anyone who comes into town for business or pleasure.

Yep, completely agree. Very sad how so many District voters not only approve of but cheer for GQP meddling in our affairs. Leave already.

Congress is following the law. Have you read the Constitution? How about the Home Rule Act?

If DC doesn’t want Congress to interfere, maybe try to govern with some respectability like, not try to allow non-citizens to vote in the nations capital?

No business? It’s literally in our constitution that congress can “exercise exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever” over DC. As a 30 year DC resident I hope Congress overturns the criminal code rewrite and voting rights bill for noncitizens.

Please disband the council. Useless, corrupt, ideological, pathetic
