So I have to say every time I hear Melania speak it always surprises me at how tenuous a grip on the English language she seems to have, given how long she's been here. Makes me think she doesn't really speak it very often (I know Barron speaks Slovene so maybe she speaks that all day with him). I guess that's not surprising because what would she and Trump talk about??

But it also kind of cracks me up given how cons are always going on about immigrants who don't learn to speak English.

The irony is real here. In one thought, you've said "the cons are always going on about immigrants who don't learn to speak English" and also mocked Melania about her command of the English language.
