Glad SJCs JV beat Preps JVs, but that is not saying too much.

Now let’s get a varsity game between the Cadets and Lil Hoyas.

I don’t think Prep is afraid of SJC after watching them hardly beat Bullis last week.

Not gonna see them play this year in all likelihood, unless a last minute IAC/WCAC DC city championship is thrown together.

There would be an appetite for it.

come on Cabbell... please sponsor a matchup between IAC and WCAC champions.

The area needs it!

St John's backed out of the event last year and the event now is nothing more than a memory.

New year, new teams. Cabell could pull off a great event.

I'll say it again but I don't think SJC is a lock to win the WCAC this Spring. Gonzaga will give them a run for their money for sure.

Prep looks to be light years ahead of the IAC this Spring given their performance over Landon and STA.

100%. Everyone accept the SJC boosters know Prep would beat SJC this year.

Simple question. Why didn’t they want to play like they have every year? They scheduled Ryken? Come on

They play Ryken every year.

Someone doesn’t realize that IL has lax seasons dating back to 2018. They played St. John’s every year. Do some research. They don’t play Ryken every year. Only when they want a win. Everyone is asking for the game after the season but it could have easily happened if Prep was scared of losing again. They weren’t even on the field last year.

Neither team has played their best game. Should be another good game.

Not to make this a forum about JV, but GP historically takes fewer freshman to V than the other schools. And it’s also true this year. GP has 1 freshman on V. Most other schools have 5 or 6. SJC has 6, GZ has 5, Landon has 5. GP has some very strong Freshman, but all but 1 play JV.

Back to Varsity. Can’t wait for the GZ/SJC game Friday. Should be a good one.

I've never thought JV program success correlates to varsity-level success.

Bullis being a smaller co-ed school can hardly even field a JV team and sometimes even has juniors playing the sport for the first time to have fun.

The larger Catholic schools generally take JV a bit more seriously which makes sense as they have the bodies to do so.

St. John’s struggles clearing the ball. Very bad at times. Expect a 10 man but it’s so bad that a 10 man isn’t even necessary.

Don't tell all the crazy SJC boosters who constantly post that SJC is the best in the DMV. 🙄

OK, so they have played Ryken the past few years, not every year. Who Cares. They didn't put SJC on their schedule this year and only the coaches really know why. Maybe it was a SJC issue? Anyone with half a lax IQ knew Prep was going to be good this year. The SJC boosters should be happy they haven't played because based on their performance this year it's likely SJC would have lost and their boosters couldn't incessantly post about how their still number one because know has beaten them in the DMV. Either way, they should definitely play in a DMV championship Tournament at the end of May and put all this to rest.

Wild. Dads really mad that St. John’s is currently the top team in the DMV. It’s ok.

pathetic that Prep scheduled St James from the MAC today when they could have played the Cadets.

it's obvious who is ducking who, St Johns will play anyone, anywhere, any time.

IAC folks can’t believe that their “best” team wouldn’t play the best team in the DMV this year.

I know the St. John’s team is different this year but the score last year was 16-6. Prep has the same team except no FO guy. Do you really think the difference this year is worth 10 goals?
