Justin Fairfax

I recently ran into him the other day, he seemed so much more relaxed and down to earth now that he is no longer dealing with being lieutenant Governor of Virginia.

I cannot think of him without thinking of the rape accusation. I wish he didn't feel so relaxed tbh. (And fwiw I voted for him)

Everytime I hear his name, I think of Robert California.

They guy who was being groomed to be governor but got derailed because he was alleged to have raped someone, denied it, didn’t resign and as a result was partially responsible for Youngkin becoming governor.

He’s relaxed because he knows he probably won’t be going to jail.

Isn't there credible evidence supporting his claim that he was railroaded?

Terry McAuliffe and local school boards are fully responsible for Glenn Youngkin becoming Governor. Justin Fairfax had next to nothing to do with it.

No, the FBI found nothing.

If two women accuse the same guy of raping them in a similar fashion, maybe it's true.

He was definitely railroaded.

Pretty bold of you to call two women liars.

Can you back up your claim?

With the first allegation, I don't think anyone is lying. It's one of those bad situations where everyone is probably telling the truth as they remember it. We've (hopefully) gotten better at teaching the meaning of consent. I think we have. It's easy to forget that in 2004 we were still saying "no means no" and other such things that belong in the dustbin.

The second allegation just isn't credible to me. I believe women, and I went to Duke. I know rapes happen there. I don't buy the thing she claims he said after the fact, that knowing she'd had a prior assault made him decide to rape her. That doesn't even make sense to me. The hard truth is that false allegations get made. I'm Duke '06 so you don't have to tell me that that also happens. We have to sift through them the best we can and teach women and men new standards for consent and we have to provide viable and safe reporting options so that we're not stuck in this situation where we're trying to determine what's legitimate decades later.

I also want to point out that the dean you'd report to in 2000 was Dean Sue, I'm nearly certain, and I don't think anyone who knows Dean Sue would believe she'd tell a woman not to report. I guess I don't know that for sure but it makes me highly skeptical.
