Anyone else going to see Madonna on tour?

Coming to DC over Labor Day weekend. I know she’s kooky, but I love her songs. Such a part of my youth. I was glad to see the ticket prices weren’t crazy like for Bruce Soringsteen. Can’t wait!!

Just a warning. The last time I saw her at Cap One Arena (was maybe 10 years ago), she was over 2 hours late starting. The had the opening act open on time, but she didn't come on stage until after 11pm, which was a huge nightmare. People were so upset, especially those that had taken the metro. We had to leave after she sang for 30 min because our babysitter had to go home. This seemed to be not just a DC specific issue, she did this on most of those tour dates according to Ticketmaster reviews.

So just like Laurel Hill shows, you never know what you're going to get. Be prepared for you to have to wait forever, for your phone to lose battery, etc.

Did you find out why she was so late coming on stage?

Been there done that, she was hours late last time and while it was a good show I'm too old to be waiting for her for hours to get on stage. So I'm done.

I went to that concert, too. Nightmare! Also, she only sand one of her oldies - 'Like a Virgin'. During the song, she had violent video in the background. Very weird and disturbing.

I'd make sure she is playing her old, good stuff.

She's so desperate to be relevant. Hard pass.

The only reason I agree with this is because Madonna hasn't gracefully accepted her age. Apparently all her self-worth was bound up in her beauty and sex appeal, and she has no idea who she is without that. Pathetic, really. Jennifer Lopez is going down that road too.

I saw here at the MCI Center in 2001 and that is how I want to remember her.

One month before 9/11.
